Staff Prayer Time

Every Friday morning, our staff gather for scripture led prayer to reflect on the week and bring a sense of calm to our busy lives. It also reminds us that Christ is at the centre of all that we do. It is led by a different member of staff each week.

The Three Trees - An Easter Musical

Our Year 3 pupils performed ‘The Three Trees’ (an Easter musical) for the school community on Thursday afternoon. The children read, sang and acted wonderfully! What superstars! Thank you families for all your support and positive feedback.

End of Term Mass

Thank you to Fr Philip, parishioners, governors, parents, staff and pupils who celebrated Mass with us for the last day of term! Year 6 read, Year 2 helped with the Offertory Procession, Year 3 and 6 pupils served and Reception welcomed us in waving Palms! 

 

Lenten Almsgiving

This week, all classes took part in a prayer service where we placed the money donated to our Lenten Charity: Fr Hudson's Care. We remember to pray, fast and give alms during Lent. We created a cross and Year 3 led us with the singing. 

 

Easter Garden Competition

Thank you to everyone who entered our Easter Garden competition! Our entrance was so bright, beautiful and smelled lovely with all the fresh Spring flowers.

It was a difficult decision for our Caritas Ambassadors!

A big thank you to all of our families for your donations of! Easter eggs for the Food Bank. We appreciate your generosity.

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 received the Sacrament of Confession this week before Easter.

World Down Syndrome Day

Well done to Year 1 for teaching us all about Down Syndrome and everyone looked great in their bright socks for World Down Syndrome Day! Thank you to everyone who supported by buying the Ups and Downs merchandise throughout the week! 

Our Friend Rory in Year 1! 

Year 1 recreated Jesus' entry into Jerusalem in our school hall as part of the Holy Week learning! Hosanna! 

Year 2, Father Philip and their families joined together to have a lovely prayer service about Lent. The children read and sang beautifully. They also shared their Lenten promises for this Season of Lent.

Our Caritas Ambassadors have been busy making Easter cards for our local community. They will be given to our local SVP.

Many children in their Guide/Scout uniforms for Thinking Day. Thinking Day is celebrated annually on the 22nd February around the world. It is a day that they think about: -their 'brothers and sisters' in all the countries of the world. -The meaning of Scouting and Guiding and its global impact. This year's theme is "Becoming More Environmentally Conscious" which links with our Catholic Social Teachings. #catholicsocialteaching #cst #guidesandscouts

Children's Mental Health Week

Some wonderful artwork for Children's mental health awareness week. Thank you to all children who created their works of self expression.

Year 5 Stations of the Cross at Hagley

The children "Dressed up for Digits" to celebrate NSPCC Number Day, raising money for NSPCC and Childline. These two young ladies even remembered their Catholic faith when designing their t-shirts for NSPCC Number Day! #NSPCC #catholiclife

Year 6 Images of Christ display. The children chose their favourite images of Jesus. They thought about why it was their favourite image and what it was representing. Such talented and reflective pupils.

Canon Paul McNally visited Year 6 to talk to them about their Confirmation. He and Fr. Philip shared a fish and chips lunch with the children too!

A visit to our parish church: Our Lady and all Saints Church

Reception have enjoyed welcoming Fr Phillip into class to help us to learn about baptism. Fr Phillip showed us what happens at a baptism using our doll Martha.​

We have loved using our baptism role play area to re-enact what we learned from Fr Phillip.​

Year 6 received the Sacrament of Confession with Fr. Philip and Fr. Steven.

Our Caritas ambassadors taking time at lunch to pray for anyone mentioned in our Prayer Stop box. During this Year of Prayer, we are encouraged by St. Francis to take part in individual prayer and community prayer.
